Prof. Lisa Russ Spaar's books include Blue Venus: Poems, Glass Town: Poems, and Acquainted with the Night: Insomnia Poems. Her work has appeared in many journals and periodicals, including The Kenyon Review, Ploughshares, Poetry, and Shenandoah. The recipient of awards from the Rona Jaffe Foundation, the Academy of American Poets, and the Virginia Commission for the Arts, she directs the Creative Writing Program and teaches in the English Department at the University of Virginia.
